Battlestations: Pacific Message Board  

I know I'm just creating unnecessary hype.. but I can't help it..
I'm really looking forward to this game, I loved the last game, the freedom to fly a aircraft, pilot a ship, or try to survive as a submarine (I found it really hard)

They say BS: Pacific is going to have a skirmish mode.. I wonder how that is going to play out, Hopefully its gonna be as awesome as it sounds

after playing the demo (and BTW, the 360 controller works AMAZINGLY well with it!), I really am impressed with the game and it's simply worlds beyond BS:M in every way.

Just the variety of ships and more enjoyable scenarios in the demo make the difference as clear as night and day. The developers really took into account a lot of things and made the game really "feel" less sterile and at the same time made it much more fun.

The two modes in the demo, siege and island capture (likely botched that second name), are VERY cool even against the AI and you really get to play out each side with greatly different approaches and units.

Wow, I didn't know there was a demo out there even.. gonna download that right away!

It looks really good from the screenshots.. although.. the videos I've seen are pretty lame and feel steril.. but I blame that on the person behind the camera..

It's in one word; "frantic", you have to be somewhat of a superhuman to be able to manage 5-10 air squads, 1-10 ships and capture points at the same time. Unfortunately, this leaves not much time for piloting the vessels first hand :/

Some of the game modes are definately unnecessary. (Such as Siege, which is just a basic air battle (protect the landing crafts/the airfield) with very few planes to choose from.)

Other than that, it's a really cool idea, and it looks pretty darn good. Campaign and full-blown multi-player is definately some really strong sides of the game, worth checking out!

Hehe It was the same in the other game, when you had an airbase and you sent out planes it was always hard getting it right..
One little mistake and you were behind for a long time, which would probably cost you the battle.. but it was fun anyways

I liked the ship and sub battles the most

This game is much much better than the previous one in every way so far, it's only a demo so I have not seen the whole picture yet, hopefully it's gonna be awesome.

BTW is there going to be a trainer made for the demo version? I am just asking though because it's going to be quite some time before the retail version is on sale.

I agree, the new skirmish modes will be plenty of fun online me thinks, atleast if you can find mature players. if not, I hope you can add more bots.

Demo Really sucks but after playing battlestations midway it is a vast improvement over that it has better graphics and control than midway
