The difference between classes are just about combination :
* Combat Class
* Combat+Item Class
* Item Class
* Mystic+Combat Class
* Mystic Class

Some class give u unique abilities if u have high ranked classes like ninja with safety skill

There are too few explanation at all about the CLASS in the game, its doesn't give any damn explanation or info or hints about WTF benefits deathknight or sage or ranger have, compared with others & how to get that classes too or how it effect your game too, besides some class limited your arts or wield or require u to perform or wield some arts specially to gain that class

Even its don't have any info about WTF are the use or benefits of bravery or acuity or dedication or love or else stats in your chars, so don't bother to get any explanation about the CLASS in this game

For me, classes doesn't have any HUGE SIGNIFICANT EFFECT compared with BR (battle rating) so I never bother with WTF class my chars have than getting as low as possible BR stats

Despite having appropriate classes allowed your char dealing some BIGGER damage (since some class required appropriate stats) or getting a very useful skill like no instakill, my BR rating always gone fly high when I got some classes with high rank due to the need to perform some arts or wield arts to bolster my class rank, thus making the game becoming hard & harder

I had tested in MY GAME (more than 4x times I had to restarted due to having high BR that make the game unplayable due to instakill or cursed abusing), an adept freelancer or fighter can killed a boss MUCH EASILY with a very low BR than a master ninja or an adept paladin for that same boss with a VERY HIGH BR for your unions

I still don't find any methods or hints to get a LORDLY ranked class with low BR rating, I can only got if when my BR had gone sky high thus making the class almost feel so lame since a bird can still cursed or some tiny fly can instakill my chars to KO'd
