Special Abilities function

So I was trying some of the new features on CoHOF with the 2.501 patch but I noticed that when I use the Trainer's instant Special Ability function and try using say the Priest 105's creeping barrage, the cooldown goes into negative count and you can't use it again.
This is on the Royal Canadian Artillery tech tree.
I was using a mod at the time but it did not alter anything with the Priest's unit stats except with HP and Range.
Anybody seeing the same problems? I haven't tried it on other units so I was wondering if this is a larger issue or if my mod is somehow interferring with the game.

Is there a fix in the works? I understand the CH crew would be busy with other games (when you think about it, how many games are out there and coming out every day and with trainers to go with them!) but I was wondering if the CH crew is aware of this issue...

Can one of hte mods and coders confirm that a fix is in the works please? =(
I understand a 2.502 is coming out soon so perhaps for that particular version can we have a fix please?

Its in the game, not the trainer. The Creeping Barrage resets almost instantly after firing with like a 4 sec recharge. Best thing to do is deactivate key 8, use the barrage and if you want to go back you can turn it back on by reactiviating it. I believe that some of the mortar crews are the same way.
Its what I do and it works flawlessly.
