Settlers: Rise of an Empire Message Board  

The current trainer 1.7 no longer works with the automatic update of today. It crashes the game before loading a map.

Ok stupid question....where is everyone getting the update? Ever time I try to download it it advises I don't have the correct version. I have the Gold version. Any ideas

Well bad news for you!

You have to uninstall the games from your computer and then install the Main game and patch it! After patching is done load the game(If it not happens automatically!) and check version! If you got the message that the game is newer than the patch then delete s6patch.ini in the folder *:\Games\THE SETTLERS - Rise of an Empire\base\bin and apply patch again!

Install addon and patch it and verify the patch! It was not needed to delete the s6patch.ini file when patching the addon! But here is the path: *:\Games\THE SETTLERS - Rise of an Empire\extra1\bin

When game is patched correctly you should see that you have version 1.71.**** in main game and 1.71.**** Extra 1 in addon! I hope this help you! If it's not to late! ^^

Secondly: As you maybe see in the bin folders of the games: Is an Settler6.exe there! If you star the game with them the auto patcher don't run! ^^

Trainer 1.71 has stopped working since today's automatic updates. Same thing as before. worked yesterday but not today.
