This issue is known to occur on systems running multiple disc drives. Please feel free to follow the steps below to fix this issue:
Please uninstall the game (via the games uninstaller, not Windows Add/Remove) and then follow the steps below before installing it:
-From the Start menu select Control Panel
-Select System and then select the Hardware tab.
-Click on Device Manager
-Find the secondary drive which you did not use to install and right click to Disable.
-Now you should be able to enter the Product Key with no problems. (once you have registered, feel free to enable your secondary drive.
If not if EVER you have AVG ANTIVIRUS try disabling it before you launch the game...
