the mystery gift is a thing that is on the main menu that allows you to catch darkrai,shaymin and arcieus you get it by going to jublife and going to the tv place go to the third floor and talk to a man then say everyone happy wi-fi connection you can only use the gift at pokemon events or with friends but i dont know alot about the friends bit you would have to ask about it anyway happy gaming
