You can download weapon mods or use the GECK to modify preexisting weapons or make your own. Thoug if you nake it too powerful it may ruin your gaming experience. Having powerful weaps never bothered me tho just makes the game more fun for me. But that's just me. A good site to look for weapon mods is Fallout3 Nexus,
