I would seriously appreciate it if someone could at least do something about some of the ship options. I know the hull ended up changing everything, but you could at least go and make the reload and remove gun options work better. Right now they don't seem to work.
I managed to make the remove gun affect the enemy ship, but it did it to mine as well, and I didn't even select my ship!
I'm sorry, but I find it rather idiotic to leave the options in there when it has even been announced they don't work.
The other options work (except the build one when used on forts built by generals), so that's no problem.
Edit: I've found a solution (I hope). Move your ship away from the enemy, and then click to attack. While the ship is moving toward the enemy, quickly press the remove gun option and then click (several times to be safe) the enemy ship. When the battle screen comes up, it will show that both your fleets have no guns (this is the problem I was talking about). Retreat from the fight. Once you retreat, press F5 (repair guns), and then select your fleet. When you see that you have all your guns, attack the enemy again (make sure you're in open area. If you retreat in a narrow area, you die). You will see that they still have no guns. Proceed into the fight.

Edit: Won, but there was a crash at the end.

Edit: Also, don't do auto resolve, as the computer doesn't seem to take into account if the enemy ships have no guns. I just tried it and had a defeat (I had full weapons, they had 0).

If you don't like the options, then simply do not press the keys associated with them. The moment we take them out, 5000 people will come back saying that they worked fine for them and want us to put them back in.

i found the f4 option doesn't work for ships but does work for land armies. not a bad trade off if you ask me.
