You know there is a saying that goes like this: If you don't have anything good to say, then don't say nothing at all.
I suggest you use it!
Do you know how much profit is made on a game?
From the lets say 10 milion people about 1 milion use a cracked version and about 0.4 milion people after that go to buy the game because the support the makers and/or want to use it online!
Ow and its not that he can't add the -dev line its that the game doesn't start the dev mode because its not run by the orininal exe!

So you're saying it's ok to pirate software? Rofl.

Bottom line. You want to use -dev and be able to use the mods and whatnot? Go buy the f'ing game you cheap arsed pirate.

perhaps basic economics is in order
most people buying the game will be buying from shops
the shops have already paid the companies for the game
so corporations like Best Buy are more likely to lose
money from pirating
of course one can't really shed a tear for them
now to move on to the question at hand
it will probably be fastest to purchase the game
however I'm sure someone with enough free time will
find some sort of fix
but really buy the game
the multiplayer is far better than the single player
in this game

back to the problem at hand? as much as i would like to thank people who understand my problem, i would also hate to escalate a pointless flame war.

so, anyone have any idea how to start the -dev mode in xlive_starter.exe?

If you haven't figured it out already, you CAN'T. That xlive_starter.exe file that you guys are trying to use does not access the original .exe in any way. Because of this, there is no way, to my knowledge, to run -dev on a pirated copy of the game.
