No - I didn't use the wargear mod and still get the "Fatal Scar Error" in the "Wailing Doom" Mission. Seems to be a trainer issue.

    Workaround:
    Start DoW2 without Trainer.
    Enter the "Wailing Doom" Mission.
    Alt-Tab to Desktop.
    Start Trainer.
    Reenter Game.
Hit F1 and you're ready to go.

Still, a response from Cal or Pwiz regarding this issue would be nice

If the trainer is only causing an issue in this one mission then there must be some internal scripting going on that is incompatible with one or more of the options. Simply disable the trainer for this one mission.

Well, as none of the options has to be activated (it's enough to activate the trainer itself, and as there is no way to deactivate it, a restart of the game without the trainer is required) to trigger the issue there is some sort of an issue with the trainer in relation to the game.

It's quite interesting to see that it only (what I've seen anyway, have played the game for more than 50 hours now) affects the aforementioned mission, and no other. And as there is a SCAR error the game detects some change to the game code, just with the trainer activated, no options at all.

If there is a solution to this, it would be nice to see, due to the fact that a game restart is required (certainly an annoyance).

Thanks for the update regarding the issue nevertheless
