I'm aware that this is primarily a board for cheat/trainers, but i really am at my wits end here, and I've searched google a thousand times over but to no avail.
I'm having a problem running my game at all. I'll be playing and all of a sudden the game simply locks up, and the sound bugs so it just repeats the same thing over and over, and then I'm faced with a blue screen of death and my computer resets itself.
I'm not a technical idiot, so I've tried the obvious things like installing it in a different location, updating my drivers, lowering the graphics down to next to nothing (even though my computer runs it fine on ultra)
I just have nothing else left to try, i wanted to know if anyone else was experiencing this? it seemed to come about after i tried to reinstall half life two. I played that for a while and it blue screened too, and now it seems to have passed on its wisdom to Dawn of War 2.
Any help would be really appreciated, again, apologies if this is posted in the wrong location.
    Dude...

    Wait, what?

Sounds like a hardware problem to me, most likely with your video card or power supply. Have you checked to make sure your fans are all working and moving air well?

DOW2 crashes on me occasionally but never a hard crash that requires a reboot.

I guess it could be that your DirectX might be corrupted, so you might try reinstalling that since you've already tried your video drivers.

Okay, forgive me but now i am about to sound like a technical idiot. Having never needed to before, how do i go about uninstalling DirectX?
I think it may be a problem with DirectX, whenever i set the graphics up to ultra the game crashes out and tells me "i don't have an up to date version of DirectX installed", where clearly i do, because as soon as i relaunch the game, it works perfectly fine, and my directx diagnostic tells me i'm running DirectX 10 as well.
Thank you for the advice though, and the prompt response.

    Its more than capable of running ultra settings;

    Possessor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.4GHz

    Memory: 3326MB RAM

Video Card: 2x NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GS (SLI)

Operating system: Windows Vistaâ„¢ Home Premium

I hope that's what you needed to hear, its simply copy and pasted from my xfire account :P

Ugh, bane of my life those words...

"a lot of people are having trouble with vista"

I only got it for DirectX 10, and as soon as i did, along came service pack 3 for XP. Oh well, thank you for your suggestion, any advice on where i can download old drivers?
