you have to type it in like this
godmode(space)=(space)1 so it looks like this: godmode = 1

At first I thought it was a little boring, but as I played on it picked up the pace and got more interesting once I figured out what to do in the challenges.

Hi guys, I cant seem to get the consol to come up. I have checked the key_default.cfg file but doesnt have the console listed in there.
Can someone please help me?!?

For those who have problems getting the cheats to work there is one thing to know. Cheats like godmode = 1 (maybe others too) are linked to the character you're directly controlling which means that they reset each time you jump in another character (and possibly during the cut scenes too) and are not restored once the scene ends so you have to enable them again at that point otherwise the cheat(s) you've enabled before will appear to not work.
Quickest way to go is to hit the console key, the up arrow key (that will recall the last cheat you entered) then the enter key and close the console after each "mental echo" scene.

I'm probably a bit of a thicko but I have tried to edit the cfg file but it won't let me save it, any suggestions anyone...

If you're using notepad, you have to run as administrator. (assuming your're using vista). Right Click notepad, choose run as administrator and open the file from there.
I can't even get the console to come up. I'm running Vista Ultimate 64. There was some other game that had problems opening the console in Vista.
