the boxed version authenticates through steam, so they should be the same. It even binds to your steam account and shows up in your my games list.

I'd like to add my thanks for checking into this problem so promptly.

I have the retail version (authenticated via Steam) and I'm having the same problem with the game quitting as soon as I hit F1.

our retail box game installed and patched to 1.01. this is the reason for the crashes. we will post the 1.01 trainer shortly-

hmm my fear 2 retail boxed version updated to 1.01 sometimes crashes after a while using trainer...

btw using vista x64
