    The original FEAR and all subsequent expansions/sequels have used the same cheats so I was rather hoping FEAR 2 would use the same cheats as well...but even though it says T is bound to 'Talk' I can't seem to get it to work, so I'm assuming it only works in multiplayer. Any word yet on other cheats?

    i suppose you could try adding stuff to the game's desktop launcher.

    like say -devmode or -console

    so that in the property tabs you read for example
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Fear2\fear2.exe
    and then turn that into
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Fear2\fear2.exe -console (or -devmode) perhaps that will allow you to get into the console and perhaps cheats can be entered in there.

    please reply if that works

    Those might work, but I doubt it since the other games didn't need them.

    He could always try using the Tilde (~) key and seeing if that bring up a console or something. If that doesn't work I know that some games, like Doom 3 and Quake 4, use the Ctl+Alt+Tilde combo to open the console, so that's something else to try.

    It could ALSO be that, in single-player mode, T just doesn't bring up any visible text box.

    Also, you could either try editing the game files (donno which one since I haven't gotten my copy of the game yet) and binding ~ to the console or just rebinding the Talk function to another key (if you haven't already)

    True, their using Steam now so that could be part of it.
    But to tell the truth, playing through the demo wasn't all that difficult so I'm not expecting to need cheats myself. But then again I've been playing FPS games for years so my twitch-gaming reflexes are kinda overdeveloped... having ADHD helps, too. ^_^;;

    Hehe, your preaching to the converted my friend. ^_^
    Hell, I've still got the first PlayStation GameShark I bought, the kind that plugged into the so-called "expansion slot/port" on the back of the console. I used to go hunting for secrets in games I'd beaten all the time 'till the stealth-mod chip I installed to play imported games fried the board.
