A new release deserves a new post, right?

Well, here is the new release. For the most notable change, it finally allows to alter character looks (some posters wished for it to be added ).

Sacred 2 beauty salon is finally open!
Do not be restricted by the game rules anymore. You can now freely change character hairstyles, with no concern of character race, sex or class.
Discover Temple Guardian 2.0 - it grows hair.

Note: editing character looks is possible thanks to the guide posted by unknowngst at darkmatters.org (Link). I only put his discoveries in the editor.

    Here are the links:
    Editor: LINK REMOVED. Look below.
    Source: LINK REMOVED. Look below.

A word of advice: I tested what I could, but as nearly always some bugs may remain undetected. So if anyone using the editor finds some errors or bugs, please drop a word here and I will try to fix it.

A few words about editing looks:
    - changes are not visible in the main menu right after one edits the looks. You have to enter and exit the game to reload the looks.
    - as one would expect, Seraph hairstyles looks best on another Seraph. And they not necessarily look good on Dryad or High Elf. Not to mention on some male characters (which are all bald by default). But I remember trying some High Elf short cut on a Dragon Mage. It looked funny, but passable. You may try all choices if you wish, of course, and select the best one.
    - while editing skin and imp color, one has 2 sliders with 32 choices each. The colors you can get are the same as while creating new character (also 32 possibilities). So if you're interested in particular skin or imp color, go to the character creation screen, memorize which out of 32 positions your color takes, and select the same within the editor. That way you are certain to get the same skin/imp color. Creating the color boxes for skin and imp color prooved to be much more difficult than for hair color, so I dropped it. Ad besides it's only 32 choices, not too much to remember.
    - I haven't tried to edit Temple Guardian skin color yet. It is the only character that has it's skin color disabled in the character creation screen. It will probably not hurt to change it, but I doubt it will make any change ingame. I will test it soon and drop a word.

    Have fun cheating.

This version of the editor works for everything except looks. It doesn't matter if I tweak the sliders or leave them completely alone, the hair color will always be blue (0000FF).

Please fix that, I'm rather fond of my blonde High Elf, but I'd also like to use the editor.

Either make a version without the "looks" part (bad idea removing all links to previous versions) or try to solve the bug.

    I'm using version 2.65, Ice & Blood.

    Thank you.

Aw, crap. But thanks for the info, aerion0p.
I will look into it as soon as I get home. The previous version of the editor is still at the mediafire, but I can't provide the link right now, 'cause webwasher blocks mediafire at work.
As soon as I get home, I will provide the link for the 0.7 version too.

    EDIT:
Here is the link for the last version of the editor without the "Looks" tab: LINK REMOVED. Look below.
Now to check where the bug is hiding...

Thanks for that, was getting bored of hex-editing the hair and skin colors back each time I used it :X

A minor note though, the second skin color of the High Elf (which I use so I can attest to the validity of my claim) is 0C, not 08 as the guy says in his "tutorial". Didn't like the way he formatted his hex values (220h instead of 20 02 etc.)

Anyway, thanks again for the normal version, and good luck finding the bugs/proper values.

Man, was that a stupid bug. I tried to save each byte of hair data as a 2 byte structure. No wonder hair color was being overwritten.
    Well, it's fixed now.
As an apology, I also added some visual enhancements (aka. eye candies ) in the Combat Arts section.

You can grab the new (0.8.1.0) version here:
    Editor: LINK REMOVED!
    Source: LINK REMOVED!

And if someone finds the new version unstable, grab the older one (0.7.4.1 - without the looks tab) here:
    Editor: LINK REMOVED!
    Source: LINK REMOVED!

And remember, if you find a bug, please drop a word (like aerion0p did - thanks again ). This way we will all make the editor more stable and accurate.

    Have fun cheating.

    EDIT:
Oh, and I will check those hex values for skin and imp colors. For the love of Pete, they're better be the same for all classes.

EDIT: ^They aren't. No matter. New version of the editor ahead.

    Hi Karach0s

I like the look of the latest editor and it works really well It's excellent to be able to change the looks of characters and give them a new hairstyle/colour and change existing ones rather than make new.

I have been digging around in the chest file and have found a way of enabling the videos of the game. It is controlled by the hex values at posistion 256. Changing these between 0 and 30 in 2s will give any combination of the videos

Get all of the videos including the concert

It doesn't really fit in with what I am doing with the item editor but thought you might be interested in the info.

    Hi Karach0s,
and thank you for your work! Your editor works fine with all my characters but my Temple Guardian: I get this message from Microsoft .NET Framework(sorry, but I'm Italian so the message is partially in this language... I'll try to translate it for you if you need it)

Le informazioni su come richiamare il debug JIT (Just-In-Time) anziché questa finestra

    I have Microsoft .NET Framework installed, versions: 1.1, 2.0 sp2, 3.0 sp2, 3.5 sp1.

I created a new Guardian and your editor works just fine, so it is my character that is "strange"; the game works fine with it though. I don't really remember, but I could have used on it one of your previous versions (I made some adjustments probably). Maybe the problem is in the character's name, because it contains some symbols (quotes), numbers and letters.

I've uploaded my savefile with GoogleDocs at this Link ; it should be downloadable and editable if you need it (this is my first time I use GoogleDocs so I don't really know what it means with "editable" ).
I tried both versions present in your last post.

EDIT: I played some more time and now your program works with my character! I leave the file just in case you want to analyse it.
I observed something strange though: my character seems to have -1 modification points, but I'm pretty sure that I didn't cheat on them. In detail: I have 53 points in Devout Guardian Focus and Tactics Lore and I have 11 modification points in game for the Devout Guardian Tree, but only 10 in your program. I'm using 0.8.1.0 version.
Thank you for your hard work
