hi everyone,
i've finished gow in casual and hardcore mode but still dont get any achievements.

idont cheat and i didnt chit but when i press tild key it opens cheat console , which i didnt activated. i got this dvd from a friend of mine.

so is there any suggestion what to do.....

(in my documents the warinput.ini have line like this in console part

=substract
=tilde
=1024
=0
=false

do i have to change this to any other type or what??)

did you sign into live ?

i completed this also in insane mood and still havnt got any achivements.

after finishing i made a " exec cheats.txt" and started having fun but next day when i tried to pley it showed "you cannot start the game with modified game content. reinstalling may solve the problem" then i uninstalled and reinstalled it several times but it didnt work.

so i am not able to pley it anymore

also i dont have internet connection at my home, so i cant play live.

Achievements are only available when you play when logged into Live. So you need internet connection for them to appear.

I don't know what could cause the game not to play any more, when you reinstalled it. The best way would be uninstall the game and then delete all things related to it in the registry. It would also help if you'll delete all profile configuration with saved games (do a backup before doing so) and check game directory for any remaining trash.
This way you'll clean your computer out of any problem with the game and you could install it again.
If done properly, it should work just fine.

yesterday i visited gears of war forum at gamespot where someone wrote that, you will not be able to play the game after 29th January this year on your pc.
but if u set your date before that then you will be able to play

i havent tried that yet, hoping gears 2 will be released for pc very soon

today i bought "call of duty: world at war" and will be spending some time with it
