From an earlier quicky review a few months ago...

Having beaten it pretty thoroughly it was alright but I think way too overhyped...it's a good game with hours upon hours of fun to be had no doubt but it can get pretty dull after awhile falling into the Oblivion/Mass Effect pitfall doing the same things over-and-over-and-over-and-over (excuse me I'm carsick) again lol.

Still not the best RPG out there but its near the top, they could've structurized it more like KotOR and Fable. Honestly after plying it for a week I got bored with it (which isn't good for an RPG) it should constantely keep your interest with plotline, dialogue and quest. It does for awhile but fades away after the first runthrough hangover...plus lots of glitching and freezing. Character creation was pretty much a footnote in this as well...not too good.

Not bad, worth a rent but in my book not worth buying...better RPG's are coming and/or already on the market

A really good enjoyable game. Works better when you install the the Hard drive. Very addictive love just exploring the wasteland finding bobble-heads and killing well just about everyone. Just downloaded the expansion for 800G but I am disappointed, it doesn't have that open l;and feel as the game does. It more of a medal of honor feel, Only half way through it and so far there are a couple of bugs in my opinion. Like for instance when your picking up ammo left on the table you have to get your cursor near enough dead on before you can pick it up. Apart from that I am still having a good time, I just hope at the end you get something decent.

One downer I have heard is when you finish the game you can't do a fable 2 and carry on exploring. As for is it better than oblivion then I would yes it is. Certainly prefer playing fallout 3 over it. Can't wait for the next expansion pack, OXM says there is 3 more in the pipeline.

yep...i beat the game and as soon as you enter the project purity room you can't get back out due to the door being locked for some reason...good thing i saved before entering the room...like the game as i said before...can't you get T51-b armour from those brotherhood guys in the expansion pack?

I'm completely addicted to this game! I'm on my 3rd time playing it now and i'm still finding new things! It's extremely hard, if not impossible, to find everything on your own so use some sort of guide.. I personally used Link (Fallout Wiki).

As mentioned above, there are definitely some bugs (quite a few actually) but the new patch has fixed most of that and the gameplay makes up for the rest!

Warning: May contain very mild spoilers!

IMO.. the ending was a little disappointing and the fact that you can't carry on the game after the main quest has finished, kind of felt like Bethesda Softworks was giving me the middle finger!! However, all games must end sometime, right?

Anyway, there is a simple solution to it. The best thing you can do to prevent this and continue playing is to quit playing the main quest after you start the quest 'Picking up the trail'. 'Picking up the trail' starts when you enter the Citdel after escorting Doctor Li there. Elder Lyons will talk to you.. make sure you ask him permission for Power Armour training!
This seems to be the perfect spot to stop the main quest as you can trade with the Citdel and you will also be able to get your Power Armour training.
I can't wait for the next in the series!
