to close this out for me, i have downloaded and installed patch 2 will the utmost success! now to try the trainer for V2...

thats a no go on the trainer.... I wonder what it is and why it will not work for me... This is the first trainer I have ever had any difficulty with on cheathappens.... has anyone else had an issue like this while using GTA IV from direct2drive? Nothing is working on the trainer... not even the money cheat...

Im having difficulty getting the #2 trainer to work with my patched version of gta4, when i activate it at the main menu then load a game i only see the games background image and nothing else, plus none of the cheats work. Im playing gta4 through steam, would that have any effect?

The D2D version has a different executable. The executable from the retail version checks if the GTA4 disc is in place, but the D2D version can't check that so it's a different one.

I'm having difficulty getting the Unlimited health option to work. Niko always dies. How would someone know it's working (does the bar remain still or ?). Only option that works is Unlimited ammo and nothing else.

Is the trainer getting worked on again for the second patch, because most of the options don't work.

For anyone wondering, there are some other options for trainers on the web that work very nicely by people who have worked a lot with xlive only. Definitely Worth a look. I found one by the CES group [Radxxxxx] that worked brilliantly.
