It is. 1-2 player Co-Op, 1-4 on campaign, 2-16 online as well as leaderboard and voice features plus you get to play as both evil and good. Example is, you can do the good campaign and follow up the movie/book story line. You can also do the evil campaign which allows you to kill Frodo and see what happens if he didn't destroy the ring. I bought it today and I have to say it was well worth my sixty bucks.

I never play demos. They either give me the wrong impression of the game or they duff it all up and hide the bad bits.
