    i have a question. i stole it and i hid it in a box in s'kkrivas house and went and spent my time in jail, when i came back to s'kkrivas house it was gone. i went back to steal it again and it was gone. can i steal it again?

    Nope. Never hide anything in anyone's house, Only your own, or drop it somewere outside. I still have books laying around from when i dropped them about level 18, i'm now at 33.

    Certain chests, such as those found in the wilderness, caverns, dungeons, houses (that are not your own) respawn, meaning that all the contents in them get wiped every three game days. If you store an item in these containers, they will be deleted permanently. There is no way to discern between a respawning and non-respawning container in the console versions of the game, you need an unofficial mod for that.
