The manual says that Independence FM supports .M4A music files, so I put a bunch of my ripped music into the appropriate folder--.M4As since I ripped them like a decade ago with winamp--and they play, but they play at a very fast speed. Like when you play a 33 record at 45 speed.
The MP3s I put in the appropriate music folder work correctly.
Is it a codec problem since they're old files? They play fine with VLC.
I just copied (ore you can make shortcut to your music files)
Not sure why you cant make it work sorry
MP3,WMA works without any extra codecs/software , but for M4A you need quicktime/iTunes.(as far as i remember it is also on the last page of user manual)
Once in a car, select Independence FM. It'll start playing faster than normal. What I did at this point was enter the pause menu, go to Audio, and manually scroll away from Independence FM and then back to it 2 times. On the second time I came back to Independence, it started playing like normal. It was weird, but that's how I got it to work.
You may want to try the same, see how it fares for you. You'll have to do it every time you open up the game, though.
