It is RPG.
It's like Oblivion, Witcher, Two Worlds etc.

I would advise you to buy another game , because Gothic 3 is one of the most bugged games ever

Oblivion, Witcher and Two Worlds are good alternatives for Gothic 3

The real Gothic 3 is - after many bug fixes by the community - a really good game with much more atmosphere than Oblivion or other RPGs(I exclude "The Witcher", which is also excellent but quite different)
But this add-on is only cutting out some scenery from the original game, adding many bugs and silly or undoable quests and pathetic dialogues.
