Left 4 Dead doesn't incorporate LIVE, so I wouldn't think so.

Actually, I have played it with my cousin on LAN. He has the x-box version, I have the PC version. I set up a LAN game, he joined!
(We did have some weird errors with the Tank zombies though. It said "You startled the witch!" every time I shot one )
