Extract the savegame editor into it's own folder. Run it and browse to:

\Documents and Settings\\My Documents\NFS Carbon\ANFSC\ANFSC

then open your savegame directory and file. Mouse over the registration key and use -C to copy it, then click on the savegame key and use -V to paste it into the savegame key. Click on "fix", then "save changes", then exit the savegame editor.
