After having Windows Vista, factory version removed from my PC a Dell XPS 410, I was really happy and it seemed like everything was going to work out fine. I could now use programs and get trainers and other things to work which previously would not work with Vista. After using XP for a few days I'm beginning to wonder if I did the right thing after all. Some of the older programs which worked on Vista will no longer work on XP and I am having problems off and on with hang ups and crashes. Spore to name one. Quite often when I complete the cell stage and go to creature stage, the game crashes and when I am in Creature mode I've been experiencing some strange things. For instance when I kill an epic creature I can not move away from that creature and can only go in circles. There has also been times when the game just crashed back into windows for no known reason. Tonight I was chasing down a creature whom had attacked me and running in a circle to catch him, when the screen started spinning and I could not gain recontrol of it. I tried having the creature look in the opposite direction, up and down and went through all the phases but the spinning wouldnot stop. I even got back to the nest and after entering build mode and evolving into an almost new creature, as soon as I returned to game mode, the spinning started again. I finally had to abort the game and lose what I had. I wonder if anyone can help me with this. I certainly don't want to have to go back to Vista which I hate with a passion, and besides I'll lose the $125.00 the computer shop charged me for removing Windows Vista and replacing it with Windows XP. I have one word for all this HELP!!!!!

I had that problem too, I had to basically continue to the next level in order to do anything

I have also noticed with the trainer to wait until you are on a planet screen, and only to use those codes that are appropriate to your level as the if you are in for example the Creature stage and you hit the 0 (ZERO) key for unlimited space bucks it crashes the game, also you have to watch the unlimited money when upgrading your buildings and ships as you can go over budget

Also make sure you're updated to 1.3 as 1.2 is very crash happy with and without trainer

Ive been running Vista since Aug 2006 (Beta) and besides the TCP/IP stack issue that was fixed with SP1 I feel / think Vista is better overall, yes XP is less a resource hog but if you have 2 GBs of ram or more its not an issue

if i were you i would just dual boot both if and get used to Vista for everyday computing as Windows 7 will be a repackaged Vista, and use a stripped down XP for gaming, which is my plans, as I used to have to do a reinstall with xp every 6-9 months but with Vista I have been running solid for over 12 months granted I have been keeping better tabs on my registry so its not overly bloated
