    I have tried to edit the hero stats file in the past.

    It doesn't show all the correct info, and it doesn't seem to work either.

    I think i'll try to edit one thing at a time and see which works, I think the save file will have to be edited as well.

    What did you do with the itemtype.txt file.

    And something I discovered, if you edit the lines below, not quite sure what the second one does, in the balance.txt file you can change the area of effect of certain combat arts.

    RangeArea = 200
    RangeNear = 45

    I tried it while using a seraphim and the revered technology art flaring nova had a massive range.

    It might effect the enemy as well though, I haven't come accross one using a similar area effect attack yet.

    did nothing with itemtype.txt, just went thru it to record all the hairstyles and set items it had in it...

    As I said on the Sacred forums:
    Quote AngelSkye: >Begin<
    In a way that I can talk about it here on the forums:
    In a nut-shell all I have figured out so far about sacred...

    there are actually 3 Seraphim Hairstyles!! the 3rd hairstyle was discovered by me, how u ask?
    By me going through the .txt file that spawns the objects/monsters/weapons/armors/npcs/items

    Its very complicated... But i used to be a Admin for wow and basically this text is a object database, and each object has a value attached to it that spawns it,
    Seraphim long hair is #544
    Seraphim short hair is #73
    The 3rd hairstyle is #???? (Sorry I Dont feel like releasing the 4 digit number just yet here on the forums) but search the web maybe you will find it?

    Hint: I have uploaded a document to a shared file hosting site
    Quote AngelSkye: >End<

    As You can See This IS what the itemtype.txt file is and I dare NOT edit it...

    And as u can see im reluctant to release the 3rd hairstyle Spawn Number on the official sacred forums
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    But back to the subject:
    Hrmm.. Thinking about it, it just struck me!!
    Don't know why I didn't think of this sooner...
    Just a Thought:
    Maybe, Just Maybe, When You Create one of the 6 Character's...
    It adds something to the balance.txt???
    Or Maybe It has Something to do with the combat arts, when you unlock certain ones, it may add something to the balance.txt??
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Its A Good Theory Don't ya think? unless u have been playing a seraphim this whole time and u have all arts, and u still don't have those 2 lines

    Then that would rule out this whole theory...

    If you haven't played a seraphim yet, delete those 2 lines from your balance.txt, and play one and get all combat arts and then check your balance.txt to see if they have been added..

    If they have then we will know there are some secret lines that add when we play certain charecters

    So Far Im Playing...

    1. Seraphim
    2. High Elf

    The only way I know to stop them from causing damage will also stop all enemies from causing damage is by changing these lines.

    Enemy_weapondamage = {650,750,850,1000,3700},
    Enemy_spelldamage = {500,650,800,900,2700},

    Little help please. I created the optionsCustom.txt mentioned before in order to change the camera angle for zooming. I'd like to go back to default but I was stupid and didn't backup options.txt first. Can someone post the default values for what I changed. Here is what I changed:

    camera = {
    cam1_trackdist_max = 2000,
    cam1_trackdist_min = 100,
    cam1_rotx_min = -0.05,
    cam2_trackdist_max = 2000,
    cam2_trackdist_min = 100,
    cam2_rotx_min = -0.05,
    cam_autorot_speed = 4.0,
    cam_autozoom_max = 2000,
    cam_autozoom_min = 100,
    cam_autozoom_speed = 8,
    heromenu_trackdist_max = 1200,
    heromenu_trackdist_min = 100
    }

    Thank you very much. I didn't think the custom file I created would actually cause a rewriting of the default file. Still it's good to backup before.

    Also for those that don't know, be careful with the Christmas set items. I had gotten into the "spirit" with some spiked eggnog and when I completed the quest and got my set I decided to sell items from my inventory(ctrl+left click) to make room. I got the set and wanted to try it on so thinking I was right-clicking the items I was still ctrl+left clicking...SELLING them into nothingness!!! Did I mention I was drinking? But what got me was that any set you try to sell to a trader or through inventory it ALWAYS prompts you about selling that item even if it's not a set for your character. Well I'm here to tell you that the Christmas set will sell without warning. So those that can learn from my mistake I'm letting you know.

    Just a note: setting these values to 0 makes you pretty much invulnerable, except to spit damage from spider. Poison must work differently or something, as you still suffer from it.

    Also: does anyone know if there's a way to edit the level scaling? I'm getting tired of being swarmed by hordes of level 30 rats whenever I travel.
