I thought you guys said you were GOING TO GET RID OF THE BOOSTERS FOR GOOD?!

Seriously, now that they've introduced the ultra-ban rule it seems more and more people are boosting. And they said there would be a crackdown of all people boosting, when evidently there isn't enough to suggest that there's progress.

The new ranking system is based on experience - something which is completely dumb. The booster would already have his 50 and a Lieutenant rank in one playlist, but he has 13-14 other playlists to play in against where his experience is on par with people who are just starting the game. How fair is that?

IMHO, the old system was way better, because you could go into a game which was solely decided on your TrueSkill rating. Hence why there was less boosters. Now because of experience ratings, we have more boosters popping up.

Seriously Bungie, you guys rock, but this one was one HELL of a **** call.

i completly agree it has gotten more out of hand. You and i play a lot and we see a lot of this still happening. seriously bungie actually make the promises you keep!!!

Boosting is basically creating a new account just to rank up more quickly and easier in Halo 3. Since you're playing against total nubs, when you get MVPs, Exterminations and Overkills, and a MASSIVE K/D spread, the computer recognises it and effectively "boosts" you up 2,3 ranks per game. Hence why it's called, "boosting".
