The only thing that bothers me a bit in the game is how quickly weapons degrade. Is it possible to add this to the trainer to max out a weapons "health" as it were?

dont know if this will help but player.srm console command brings out the 100% repair menu, just open it and hit repair all. It shows it costs an arm and a leg but atleast i didnt get billed when i used it
