The sword is VERY weak. I read in the official guide it's base damage is only twenty something. Oh, and if you think it actually looks like an energy sword from Halo you're wrong. It has a standard hilt and a solid metal blade. The suit looked kind of stupid too. It's made to look like a mock up of the Master Chief's Spartan suit if a colonial era tailor attempted replicate it's appearance. The sword is called Hal's Sword and the suit is called Hal's Suit. They explain the equipment's existance by saying during the time of the Old Kingdom a portal to another dimension opened up and a warrior came through it with strange equipment and the equipment you get was an attempt to replicate it.

The sword doesn't look anything like other swords in the game (just google it really). And yes the suit isn't high-tech fancy stuff but there isn't a gamer alive who wouldn't say that that's "the halo armour".

You also get the title "Master Chief" from the town crier

All in all it's your choice if it's worth it or not. I got it because the store was out of regular versions and have no regret whatsoever about spending that extra bit of cash

people paid extra for the collectors ed? the people I pre-orderd the game from reduced the price to the same as a standard copy as soon as the extra's were dropped.
