Well, which one? I've only been able to get a weapon to go to the "holster" position by going through the Pipboy3000 and selecting a weapon. The weapon starts off in the holstered position but once I press the "R" key (reload) the weapon is then at the ready status. I'm trying to get my pistol to holster without having to go through the pipboy3000 and unequiping it and then equiping it again. Also, I'd like to get my rifle to holster on my back like it was without having to use the pipboy3000. There should be a key binding for this. I remember Oblivion having a key to hoslter your sword but I can't remember which one that was. It may be different because this is not Oblivion but a lot of the key mappings seem to be similar. For instance, "Q" key lets you auto-walk and that's the same key as Oblivion.

inside the pipboy got to the item page, and press and hold 1 to 8. You can then drag the icon for the weapon/item you want to quickslot. Then back in game press 1 to 8 to bring it out, and you can also press the same button again to holster it.

Sweet, thanks! I got the US Steam version and I'm lacking a manual to read as I go. I'm having to take quick pitstop breaks between play to visit this site for questions and to see what others are up to. This game is sweet and the cheats are even sweeter! Thanks for all the help!

you dont holter your weapon with the number-keys. you unequip it with them.
to holter your weapon, hold your reload-key pressed down for 2 or 3 seconds.
then your weapon is holstered, and your fists arn't risen.

besides: pressing the number-key to put away your weapon makes you unable to get it back with the reload-key!
its so fast it can do an infinite loop in thirty seconds!! =)
