I have posted many times I have the crashing issue with the retail version, blah blah. I didnt even think about running the trainer for what I want and saving, that might work. Well for caps at least.

i posted this before, but if you dont find your saved games, go into documents, my games, fallout 3, saved, "player name", take all your saved files and ADD or MOVE them 1 folder up, so instead of being in player name folder, they should be in saved folder.

then you go back in game, and your saved games should work fine..

a little common sense made me try that and it worked, use your heads sillies

To transition from saves under a live profile, to not using a live profil you need to go to where the saves are (in vista its C:\Users\[Username]\Documents\My Games\Fallout3\[Live Name]\Saves

Move them one level up to

    C:\Users\[Username]\Documents\My Games\Fallout3\Saves

    They are then available offline

You dont change the exe, there's a file named

    Fallout3.exe.cat

By default thats what its called, Fallout3.exe is not the file.

    Change Fallout3.exe.cat to Fallout3.exe.cat.bkup

thats it, it no longer connects to live.

same place fallout3.exe is, your install directory

    retail? probabally C:\Program Files\Bethseda\etc

    steam? c:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\fallout 3

use that search function on your computer..
