Doing that trick where you alt-tab back into the game, does not work. Mine does not crash to desktop, it just closes down the game. There is no alt-tabing back in. ARg.
same for me.

I'm not telling that cheat happens's Fall Out 3 trainers (and others) are not well enough to use, ofcourse most of them are great, but when the game supports in-game console commands, and those works as well, why make your selves tired by changing files or directories of the game????? i suggest using console commands, you'll find it much more fun.........

He has a point, but trainers are for certain cheats only. God mode basically is the ultimate cheat in all Bethesda games. Even though its good to the play the game through without cheating, I mod and then cheat to test mods. I will be an unlimited member to cheat happens now that I see the trainers come out soooo fast after a game is released. The Dawn of War 2 one came out REALLY fast, good work.
Ps, No Alt-Tab is a very bad thing I'm a musi-holic and I do it all the time for Itunes

okay i did try to play the game without live and that worked flawlessly, but apparently the still minimize, so i went and searched more and i found another fix. and i can honestly say i am enjoying fallout3 + mega trainer and NO minimizing.
Instructions. #1 - right click on your Fallout3.exe or fallout Shortcut. #2 - click on "run as" #3 - Uncheck "Protect my computer and data from unauthorized activity"
and viola it worked flawless for me.
My Specs. (Laptop)
Acer 5930G Windows Xp Pro Sp3 Nvidia 9600M GT TurboCache Intel Centrino2 dual 2 core 2.0 ghz 4gb RAM
Offnote: I would advice you to try this method first before uninstalling live redist. since you may have other games that need this. But i cannot confirm that it has work. Right now it's working for me and i'm too happy to go fingle with it anymore.
Hope it works for you
Admin: if it works you should sticky/announce it.

Update: i notice whenever i start the game after a couple minutes it would minimize once and i am able to go back in game after that it's all clean for me.
