the reason why is because their hasnt been any other big war than the world war games so they couldent make another modern time game

the game is good better graphics than cod3 but not even close to being as good as cod4.i mean not many games are.i think they should have stayed with the modern warfare. there are plenty of conflics around the world today to base more games from

look the game is not call of duty 5, its world at war. its made by the creators of call of duty 3 (treyarch) and it is not going to be modern because treyarch has shown us only wwii stuff, i've been playing the full ver for a few days and it is good, however i am probbably play CoD4 more often after I beat the game and get the flamethrower online. I most definately can not wait for CoD5 which is in development by Infinity Ward (same as CoD4) beause it is a modern war game. Get this, the history channel has that civil war game. you get to use muzzle loaders... its hillarious, not too hard, graphics are lame also but i got a kick outta playing a civil war based game.

Actually this one is claimed to be Call of Duty 5 and the one you're talking about is going to be Call of Duty 6.

world at war is the best and by conflicts it has to be big not civil fights in other countries and by big i mean theirs is at least two countries fighting and modern warfare is retarded they should have never come up with it

you seroius? COD4 is way better, and the aspect of modern fighting, weapons and tactics in a game is awesome. they cant make many more games based on ww2. there aren't many more battles they can depict. when making a ww2 story line you gotta stick to the guidelines of history. in the modern sense they can pretty much make stuff up. which gives them a wider range of what can be created in a game.
oh and by countries fighting, in COD WAW and COD4 there are 4 different countries fighting.
but COD world at war is a good game to play i dont think ill stray from COD4 until i get tenth prestige and all golden guns.
oh another downside of COD waw, is its raning system on live. 65 ranks in each prestige, not like its hard enough on COD4. just make it a little harder. but i guess not too hard since there are two guys in the tenth prestige already on COD waw.

oh and its not COD5 its World at War, COD5 is curently being made, as mentioned earlier by Infinity Ward

i really dont give a snap if they have wider range in modern times its that modern times if they cant hit the target with their guns they just call in an air strike or an Artillery strike in world war two you would have to make your strategy to destroy the targewt, so i would perfer WW2 games
