thunderbug juice?? exchange your dragonwood on the veggie elder of snowy mountains... sometimes it doesn't give you thunderbug juice so i recommend to save the game first before exchanging it to him.....

i had the same problem trust me hes a lot easier in a wide open area. its best to use a great sword with around 700 dmg so u can make him flinch and sharpness doesnt matter since ur mostly going to be blocking his charges. its best to go for the tail when he charges, dodge then come behind him. then aim for the tail until you cut it off. ALSO!!! dont worry about charging your attacks since it will take too much time and you could end up dead. when he screams also block and dont forget to hold left bumper and triangle and o i believe for a quick block even if ur sword is on your back. after you cut off his tail, charge your attacks from behind stand where the rest of the tail is so he turns directly to you and then it makes him flinch and jump on YOUR RIGHT SIDE! that is his weakness not the your left side as most wyverns when he jumps at you roll towards his left wing because he pulls it up when he jumps towards you. i hope this helped and if not theres some great vids of a guide on youtube
