well, I guess you could try installing logitech's setpoint software to see if it helps. It's odd because I don't have any problems with the control at all.

Also have no issues with the menus being laggy.

Hmm... what are everyone's machine specs?

    amd 4800x2, 2 gig ddr400, xfi soundcard, ati 4870, g5 mouse, g15 keyboard, WinXP sp3

Man i've tried pratically everything bar re-installing which I don't think will help cos the game runs fine except for the camera. Resolution / default settings everything... So you guys are saying that you can see him looking forward no problems and that he doesn't look back up the ceiling if you don't drag down?
I'll give setpoint a go... can you set the centre pt in game with that program? ... this is such a pain in the ass wish i could show you guys a pic... i'm getting dizzy just draggin the mouse down continously to see where i'm going.

What about the Australians here? Seems like the American version has no problems atm ... do the Aussies or Europeans have the same problem?

    HOT DIGGITY DANG!!!

    I FINALLY GOT IT..

I word: 'Joystick' - Didn't realise I still had it connected to my USB from Microsoft Simulator... Once that was removed, the axis was correctly balanced.

Man i feel like a douchebag.... but glad it's finally worked.

    Thanks for everyone who helped...

Now to s*** in my pants

Yeah, I had the same problem with the mouse, my bloke kept spinning around, until I removed the joystick.

I am an Aussie and no probs with the game after the removal of the joystick.

Turn Vsync off, and your mouse will move a hell of a lot better.

My First impression: Never play this game with surround sound at night >.> I got so f'ing scared that I couldn't sleep the first night I played it I haven't been like that since System Shock!

Dead Space is a clear winner
