yeah, im runnin the german version, but how to get it english ?
is there a patch anywhere, or what to do ?

Just kidding, I did copy my friends english exe over and it worked..
only some in-game stuff is now mixed up between german and english..
I didn't do more, and there is really no localization on the aviable files.

research cheat will not work for Twilightofthearnor !!works for darkavatar

It works, do you follow the instructions in the txt file?
Press just the cheat key and switch imediatly to the research window.. it works fine for me, only some of the options are not correct activated, since the research eventry are not triggered..

Hey guys. Wondered if anyone has figured out the problem to the "trainer cannot find game problem"?

I was having the same problem and did the following to fix it:

Move the trainer you are using to this location:

For the Twilight trainer-
C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Galactic Civilizations II - Ultimate Edition\Twilight

For the Dark Avatar trainer-
C:\Program Files\Stardock Games\Galactic Civilizations II - Ultimate Edition\DarkAvatar

The game path might be slightly different if you don't have the ultimate edition or you set the path manually during installation. The main objective is to put the trainer into the same folder that contains the respective application file (GC2DarkAvatar, or GC2TwilightOfTheArnor).

Start the trainer and then launch the game using the application file from the same folder you put the trainer into.
For Twilight- launch using the GC2TwilightOfTheArnor application file.
For Dark Avatar- launch using the GC2DarkAvatar application file.

Once the game has started and your at the main menu (the one that lists the various options ie; new game, load game, campaign, metaverse, tournament.....)press the F1 key and you should hear "trainer activated".

I take that back. The trainer activates now but, the game crashes during the setup process for both trainers. I'm at a loss. Sorry if I got your hopes up. Anybody have any suggestions?

Yeah, game crashes during loads with the above method. It must be compatibility issues, since I'm using Ultimate Edition and there is no trainer available for it...
