The flood are a defence system of halo, halo 2, halo3, halo4, halo5, halo6 and halo7 created by the forerunners who killed themselves because they activated one of their rings.

No thats wrong, the halo rings are there to keep the flood under control. The forerunners couldnt find a way to kill off the flood so they contained them. And where they came from? maybe they just evolved, they remind me of the Aliens from uuuh...Alien.

I think the forerunners are our ancestors. They discovered the flood and created the rings to contain them. A break occurred and they got out on one of the rings, killing most of the forunners. Since their was no time to destroy all the rings by realizing that it is inevitable that the flood destroy the universe, they created the arc instead. The survivors of the outbreak took the arc to a remote planet in the hopes to keep the power of the rings hidden from those ignorant to it's distructive power (The Covenant). The forerunners evolved and became humans after millions of years. The forerunners did not pass down the the secret of the arc knowing that we would one day all become oblivious to the power we hold, lying right under our noses.

Yes. I ment to say that, but i thought i'd let you....um yeah. Except 1 thing, "evolved from the forerunners" I dont agree with this, the forerunners would have been obliterated by Halos detonation. I think we evolved, but not from them.

I suppose saying that an extremely advance species evolving into primal brutes sounds kinda hokie. But I still have a good point. Maybe instead of going to earth with the arc and evolving, they just sent it their before they were all killed off
