I fully agree.
Here, you can be sure what you are downloading was done in a professional manner. You can be sure that they will be safe, work only for you and not the AI, you know it will not work in multiplayer, and you know there will be many options.
You can know that you can find any cheat, trainer, or FAQ for any game you will probably buy, and if a new version is out, you know they will listen to you if you ask for new options or a trainer for the release. They did it with Rome: Total War 1.5 at my (and others) request, when Rome is a bit old, and they were under no obligation to do so. But they did anyway.
You can know that what you download at this site will be safe, you know you don't have to worry about a virus or Trojan horse or spyware. You know everything is checked to make sure it's safe and functional.
On most trainers that were not done here, I've found out a few things:
1. Several flat out didn't work.
2. Some would affect the AI as well, which doesn't help at all.
3. Some sites you go to had false information in cheats (actiontrip) and trainers that don't work.
4. Some sites would flat out get you spyware, viruses and Trojan horses when you either download a trainer from them, or go to the site (actiontrip, megafile, or something like that). And those trainers weren't checked to make sure they were safe or worked.
5. If the game updated, you have no way to know if the person would make a new one.
I payed a small amount of money to be a full member. In exchange, I got good, functional trainers that have many options and which are safe to use. I got a good community which help out with information and other cheats. I think my money was well spent.
