which xml files do you refer to? I'm only seeing ones with CRT (obviosly creatures), UFO (obviously ufos) and MUSC (maybe muscle). as far as i can read from these xml files they only store positional data (and that's what they guys from customsims3 think too) of the parts/predefined creatures.

edit: and of course there are VCL-xmls and BLD-xmls for vehicles and buildings..

Hello, original finder of debug mode cheats here. I don't know how to unpack game files, but those scripts someone posted earlier, if you didn't notice, it seems that they run under debug mode privileges.

From what I discovered so far, there are two consoles, or two modes of console, GameConsole and DebugConsole. Apparently you have to get the second one for it to work. Also, the "cheat" command in those scripts seems to run some cheats that ARE debug-only mode cheats.

This should work in those txt files for video & stuff configuration in data folder (unpacked, modifiable ones).

I posted a bigger and better list of cheats (I'm 0D0A on facepunch forums):

I'm pretty sure you can somehow enable the debug console, or the debug mode for the regular console by editing game config files. Not 100% sure on this though. I really want the "tool enable all" cheat

Maybe, but note the name of the CHT txt files that talk about creatures as well. They also reference locations and files that aren't there. Like GameplayConfig/CityGameGeneralTuning.prop so I'm not sure.

Well lemme rephrase that. They are there, they just have a different name.

You could be right, but I don't think the XML files should be so easily discarded.

Especially considering that the XML files contain nothing but the hex codes that are labeled throughout the txt docs.

do you had a look into these xml files? there is really nothing else then positions and stretch (transformation) data. I cannot find *anything* else in these file. can you name a file where it says something else. I really can't find one.

I hope someone soon finds out how to activate debug mode, as it seems the game will be a true "sandbox" then :-))
