Ok so after chatting with 42 about this..

Why can we not use .PNG or either CS3 or Photo shop formats of avi's for those who make them in those programs they are perfect one saved and yes they do get some quality taken out when you upload them to Tinypic/photobucket. But When i uploaded my current avi from my computer it was in perfect condition, then when i was told it was ready and I was able to use it, I noticed that it isn't the same quality as before. Then I realized it had been turned into .jpeg which doesn't hold any quality (hints 42's last custom, so he says).

Long story short, why was and why are the avi's being converted from PNG and those formats (that work with any other site) to Jpeg? I was afraid this avi would turn out like my first custom avi, which well wasn't to good.

I didn't worry about my last one because it was just pure green slime and the lowered quality didn't affect it enough for you to see it.

The images are compressed slightly and convered to jpg format. We can't have 2 MB avatars loading on every board post and slowing down everything for everyone.
