Has anyone else noticed spore crashes a bit too often? It has happened to me 3 times and theres no autosave so I keep losing a lot... I was working on my last badge to have 100% on the status bar in space and it just crashed.. back to 50% now...

Never crashed for me when I didn't use the trainer.

Well I also know someone else who has crashed more then I have and he doesn't even have the trainer.

i keeps crashing for me between the cell stage and the creature stage everytime i play it and i dont have the trainer

I've had 3 crashes, all in the space stage. One was a crash to desktop, one was a program lockup, the other was a complete system reset. The last was probably something I induced as I was running it in windowed mode and was screwing around with a temp monitor in the system tray as Spore was exiting. The trainer was running with all 3 crashes, so I'm not sure if it's the cause or not.

An autosave feature sure would be nice. Not sure why they didn't include it.

the autosave-question is a good one.
i like the way, it doesn't have it. this way I can decide when to save and when not to.
i am in space age right now and about 2/3 through with the badge-thingy. before i went to bed yesterday i REALLY wanted to know whats at the center, so i made my ship invincible and looked for a rout to the center.
i saved BEFORE i did that, and as im starting the game up now, i konw im still back home and not at war with the grox! =)

in all the other games i know, there are specific times in the game, where you know: "this is a big moment, you cant go back before this, so lets save here".
but in spore i dont see those moments.

the first game i started was funcked up, because i couldnt buy anything. and at the end of the tribal phase i had to build a house, but i wasnt able to, because i couldnt buy ANYTHING!
so im glad the game didnt save as i tripped over the edge to civ. =)

Agreed, but when it comes to crashing when you haven't saved for hours you lose a lot. Most games overcome this by having save checkpoints instead of just one save for everything.
