Your welcome and i still cant figure out how to get it. Im only HR1 but i've killed rathalos and raithen 50 times each and im still not HR2

You can get carb. ore from the lvl 2 mining spot in the gathering area.

Damn, this is an old topic... Anyways you're best bet is using an ice or water attribute against it. Barrel bombs both large and small are useful as well. Poison, paralyze, freeze or what ever other throwing knives there are will help too. As far as armor if concerned, you should be able to use any that gives you a total defense of 20+. Oh and one other thing, try not to get hit... it does damage if you haven't guessed.
