1701 A.D. Gold Message Board  

Hi all... Just bought 1701 AD Gold since I had so much fun with the original 1602. I'm having one problem with my construction that I'm hoping you all can help with. When I go to construct a new building in continuous mode, I can't see where I can determine the building orientation. It seems the computer is automatically setting the orientation based on the streets, but I'd like to override this. Is there a way? Please help.

The game automatically chooses oreintation - generally will face the "front" of a building towards a road, if there is one directly next to where you want to place the new building.

To change the oreintation simply place the building where you want to plot it.. then hold your left-click button on your mouse and move your cursor in a clockwise (or counter-clockwise)fashion without releasing the hold. This will allow you to change the orientation of the new building to face where you want it to. Once the building is in the position you want, simple click the left mouse button just as you would plotting without changing orientation.
