Anyone figured out how to edit spellbook and hero spells yet?

it involves editing the following files:

    C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Battle for Middle-earth (tm}\data\ini\science.ini

also, you can edit the effects the powers have by editing the special powers.ini file in the same directory.

The important thing to remember is to make a backup of the science.ini file before you start changing things, that way if you screw up your science.ini file, you can just put it back to it's original state.

I'll pass on some more advice as well. When i first started playing with hex editors and playing with game files and such, it was back when I was playing Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II in like 1997. (me and my buddy would spawn as a probe droid or the millenium falcon and freak people out online...) Anyway, I would put a pad of paper and a pen on my desk and keep notes of files i would change, things that worked and didn't.
    2 Reasons to do this:

1.) It's a lot easier to change things back to normal when you screw them up.

2.) When you try and remember something 3 days from now, you only have to look at your notes.

    Have Fun

    "to everyone i want more..."
    &
"what do you change in science"

guy, really, why don't you stop to demand other to do, what you are too lazy? just go to the .ini file, read the values and comments, and try yourselve.

about the orcs: it is possible that the live-value of a unit has a harc-coded maximum, lets say 65536 and if you put 999999 in the ini, the game ignores that value?
