I like Hoenn because it has everything in it. It has three towns or cities on islands, Sootopolis, Mossdeep, and Pacifidlog Town. It has it's own Elite Four like Sinnoh, but has two different leaders in R/S and in Emerald, unlike Johto which shares the Elite Four with Kanto. Also, Hoenn is home to the Battle Frontier, the best place for battling, with seven buildings with seven masters battlists, the Frontier Brains. Sinnoh has only the Battle Tower, and Johto and Kanto have none. Sinnoh was also the first generation to include Pokemon contests, a different style of showing off your Pokemon in different ways.
