To get through The Isle of Ruins is in the Pyrimid you go up,right,right,up,up then you talk to the spirit he'll make a bridge then you'll cross the bridge and you'll talk to the other spirit and then behind him he'll have a chest in it,it will have an object it will get you through the cyclone.

you get sand from killing enemies? you normally get another minute of sand every time you progress further through the temple. or you get sand from getting treasure in the sea sometimes. you'll get more sand as you progress through the game.

Everytime you defeat a temple boss, another minute is added on. There are also a few minute's worth of sand buried in treasure chests on the sea bed.
