umm you need to face the statues towards the middle of the entire palace, so you might have to use your map, also, another way to do that is to face the statues towards a long halway, not the ones that go a little ways and turn, or at least that's how i remembered it!

another easy way to do the statues and if you have them positioned right is by the eyes of the statue. they will turn bright purple.
the statue in the left room faces east statue in the south faces north and the statue in the east faces west

i cannot even get past the fire boss he is really hard but i worked as hard as i can and can still not beat him and i got that far in my first day too
