I think the chance of seeing a shiny pokemon is 1/8192, and that means that if you encountered 8192 a shiny pokemon should appear to you, well through my whole 2 games of pokemon i played(Emerald and Firered) for over 1000 hours i played in them both i havent met any shiny pokemon.
So i think i'm just cursed in that way lol, cuz i know a friend of mine who only played Emerald 92 hours and have 8 shinies(without cheating of course).

And in the end if i met shiny it'll be some dumb Spinda or a Skitty or whatever.

So anyway post here the shinies you have

Well I have hacked in Emerald to get shiny Rayquazas and stuff, but I got lucky when I used Sweet Scent in the place where Regirock was, and he was shiny!. I also ran into a shiny Spheal, and a shiny Oddish. Then I got traded a shiny Eevee [not hacked] so I have four unhacked shinies.

@ raha, didn't you say your internal clock has broken for Emerald.

Yeah the clock is broken
But when you save that doesnt mean that it wont count the hours you've been playing.

I just caught a Shiny Wurmple in my game yesterday! But that was at like 11:00. so then I fell aslepp, and I plan to evolve it today.

I kept trying to get a shiney in meteor falls yesterday for 2 hours and i gave up.
lol i was searching in the bagon place hoping i'd find i shiney bagon...

lol I have beaten the game like 12 times and I have beaten the elite 4 a total of 126 times " that's how I get money" and I only ever caught a total of 13 shinys. my best is a shiny metagross. I also have a shiny sharpedo, golebat, pichachu, aggron, houndoor, phamphy and a couple that I didn't keep but they are a real pain to catch in the safari zone. I mean holy crap they flee at anything unless you catch them you first turn.
