okay, my freind gave me this game and it wont download when i try to run it it sais something about me not having the rightsoftware to run on. but i have all the software. the only thing i noticed is that where it listed the runnable comp versions vista wasnt on the list. and thats what i have. any advice? plzzzz help!!!!!!

Well, you could right click on the EXE file, go to properties and put compability to windows XP o.o most of my friends use vista, and they say that works for most games.

Actually, lots of people have various problems with getting KOTOR to work on Vista. My friend has Vista and everything is white and textureless in the game.

My advice is to Google your problem and see if anyone else has this problem.

try disabling DEP and see if that works, for some reason vista and DEP dont like kotor, its anti piracy stuff, but the screwy part is I have the game bought and paid for and it still wouldnt run it would just crash right away until I disabled DEP.

Explains how to disable it, whats its fore is to keep programs for messing up other programs, aka mal-ware and such, its also to prevent you from being able to use pirated software. This is why games like kotor don't work on vista very well unless disabled.

im using Vista and it doesnt have any problems at all except lag with high resolutions

KOTOR I and KOTOR II and most of the games out there HATE vista works awesome for xp dont know what your problem is but try the link sawyer gave you should work then
