I envision a day where the console is no longer necessary. They're becoming more and more like computers as they "evolve" anyway. PC all the way baby. Although I still have a PS2 so I can play Bushido Blade 1 and 2 along with Katamari Damacy. What they should do is build a drive for the computer that can run console games. Then it will be the complete end of the console.
Things never happen for a reason but there is a reason things happen.
